canon lenses

One of the best lenses for your Canon EOS camera would be the Canon 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro lens. This Canon Lens was one of the first lenses that Canon released with the EOS system in 1987, so it’s been in production for over 20 years. As such, this lens is rather high-quality compared to lenses designed today. Focusing is very reliable, but a little noisier and slower than newer EF lenses. Optics in this lens are very high-quality, and allow for beautiful photos.

The lens allows for macro focusing of objects up to a ratio of 1:2 life size. What this means is that the smallest objects that the lens can focus will be recorded on your film (or in the case of a digital camera, image sensor) at half their real-life size. This Canon Lens also allows for infinity focus, a capability that some macro lenses lack. This means that you can use this lens as a regular 50mm lens. Read more…

How to Charge a Nikon D90 USB Battery

Nikon D90

Take away the battery when the “CHARGE” light has stopped blinking. Slide the battery back into the camera’s battery chamber, with the curved side facing outward, and close the cover.

Turn off the camera. Open the battery chamber cover on the bottom of the camera by pushing in the tab and lifting the cover. Slide out the battery.

Plug the battery charger into a wall socket.

The D300 is a stronger camera for wildlife and sports photographers who require a faster shutter and burst speed. While the less expensive D90 features a maximum shutter speed of only 1/4000 second, the D300′s shutter reaches a maximum of 1/8000 second. With a shutter twice as fast as the D90, the D300 is much better at freezing action and preventing motion blur. The D300 is also capable of shooting six frames per second, while the D90 can shoot only 4.5.

In August 2007, Nikon announced the D300, the latest in their professional line of digital SLR cameras. One year later, in August 2008, Nikon announced the D90, a camera similar in many ways to the D300, but selling at $600 cheaper. Though the D90 is missing the magnesium body and weather sealing present in the D300, the quality of the images produced by both cameras is relatively close.
